Aaron Murakami is reverse engineering the device and has gotten quite far in this. The way skinner had built his device was to have 4 counter oscillating weights so that they balanced each other out.

Markp0177 has now rebuilt his 13 year old generator that is feed by his local stream. This is a 2 phase generator, and the stator that holds the coils is made of epoxy and metal filings/shavings, just like the mixture in JB weld. The metal shavings are ferrous Not Aluminum. Once the epoxy cures in the mold it is removed and the surface is refined. He did this by converting a drill press into a milling machine (Smart man!). Then he wound the first phase, then the second phase using both using 18 gauge wire, 40 turns per coil. The old stator was a larger gage and only had 20 turns per coil. The new stator will produce a higher voltage but lower current. He changed the configuration on the new stator coils, so that it would operate better at a lower speeds. So, let’s talk about how green aquaponics is. Aquaponics energy usage is from 70% to 92% less than a conventional or organic farm which use fuel and/or petrochemical-intensive fertilizers. All energy used is electrical, so alternate energy systems such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric can be used to power an aquaponic farm 100%. Freshwater fish are the most common aquatic animal raised using aquaponics, although freshwater crayfish and prawns are also sometimes used. In practice, tilapia are the most popular fish for home and commercial projects that are intended to raise edible fish, although barramundi, silver perch, eel-tailed catfish or tandanus catfish, jade perch and Murray cod are also used. For temperate climates when there isn’t ability or desire to maintain water temperature, bluegill and catfish are suitable fish species for home systems. Koi and goldfish may also be used, if the fish in the system need not be edible.

As in all aquaculture based systems, stock feed usually consists of fish meal derived from lower-value species. Ongoing depletion of wild fish stocks makes this practice unsustainable. Organic fish feeds may prove to be a viable alternative that relieves this concern. Other alternatives include growing duckweed with an aquaponics system that feeds the same fish grown on the system, excess worms grown from vermiculture composting, using prepared kitchen scraps, as well as growing black soldier fly larvae to feed to the fish using composting grub growers.

When I pick up a Home Power Magazine, or a Backwoods Home, or a Mother Earth News. I read the letters to the editor and I think, These are my people! This is my tribe—the tribe of folks striving for independence of thought and lifestyle, who are creative in their choice of building materials, who try to make responsible choices about how their choices affect the environment they live in.
While writing this article I put a lot of thought into getting the information to the people. Well here goes :^D . A list of important things to know and remember.
- All motors are generators ie electrical motors, not engines.
- If the motor is a DC motor, it will produce AC electricity if it is used as a generator.
- Generators function better if you don’t have to create the magnetic field ie they need magnets in them to perform best.
- A moving magnetic field near or through a coil of wire creates a voltage and current that is AC, The stronger the field the higher the voltage and current, also the more turns of the coil increases the voltage.
- AC electricity can easily be converted to DC to charge Batteries with a Bridge rectifier.

There is always wasted water produced by these units during the delivery phase and is practical to have the unit on the bank of the stream so that the runoff returns to the stream. The wasted water allows gravity to pull the water down the pipe and cause a water hammer action to create the pressure needed to deliver the water to homes or irrigation sprinklers. Robert Stirling was a Scottish minister who invented the first practical example of a closed cycle air engine in 1816, and it was suggested by Fleeming Jenkin as early as 1884 that all such engines should therefore generically be called Stirling engines. An important consequence of this ideal cycle is that it does not predict Carnot efficiency. Particular details of the receiver are not important insofar as general principles of the present invention are concerned since the receiver is essentially conventional. On top of that you need a low torque alternator-generator with cogging effect at minimum or zero.
He called this cycle the ‘pseudo-Stirling cycle’ or ‘ideal adiabatic Stirling cycle’. Rider’s, Robinson’s, or Heinrici’s (hot) air engine.
The usual tendency to stirling engine design has been to use high temperatures and pressures in order to pursue performance and specific power competitive with conventional systems. The PowerPot has no moving parts or batteries, and since the thermoelectric technology is built into the bottom of the pot it can produce electricity from a wide variety of heat sources. “Converting waste heat into electric power, for example, using vehicle exhaust, is a near-term ‘green’ application for such materials.”
Generators have been constructed to use solar, natural gas, propane, butane, kerosene, jet fuels, and wood, to name a few heat sources. The device generates electricity via the Seebeck Effect, where electricity is produced from a temperature differential applied across the device. Working within these limits, however, it is possible to fabricate custom modules that are particularly suited for standard use.
Of course, everything has its limitations, but with a unit the size of the one in the following video, you’ll easily be able to power small gadgets you have around your home. Be aware that there are practical limits on element geometry due to the fragility of crystalline Bismuth telluride material. Also be aware that the Bismuth melts at 520.7 °F so too much heat will melt the units.
Thermoelectric waste heat recovery is the process of recapturing this lost heat and converting it to electrical power. By using the modules “in reverse,” however, whereby a temperature differential is applied across the faces of the module, it is possible to generate electrical power. A bigger unit would serve higher purposes.
